Town winger AJ Warburton is set for at least two months on the sidelines after suffering a fractured jaw.

The 21-year-old has made just three league appearances as a substitute for Town this season, with his last league action coming a month ago in the 1-1 home draw with Sutton United.

Halifax manager John McGrath says Warburton was involved in a car accident, and sustained a fractured jaw.

"He's got two hairline fractures in his jaw, he's seeing a specialist on Wednesday,” McGrath told the Courier.

"He's looking like he's going to be two to three months out."

Attacking midfielder Zak Gilsenan has been an absentee for Town recently but is expected to be fit for Saturday’s game at Southend United.

"He did his return to training on Fruday, before the South Shields game,” said McGrath.

"We felt that was a little bit too early for him but he should have a good body of work done this week and he'll be available for selection on Saturday."

McGrath added: "Everybody else is pretty much OK, which is great for me as a manager. I've got the bones of a good 22, 23 man squad to pick from."

The Town boss says he is not expecting any ins or outs at the club before the Southend game.

"Not this week,” he said. “There's been a couple of players come to me, not asking to leave but asking for game-time, and I understand that side of it, but we're still in the FA Cup, got the FA Trophy coming up, National League Cup, the league to concentrate on so we're firing on all fronts at the moment."
