A traffic regulation order has been submitted with proposed changes to parking restrictions in the area and residents have a chance to have their say.

Calderdale Next Chapter shared: "We are consulting on the traffic regulation order (TRO) for upgrades in Halifax town centre for delivery as part of the Halifax Future High Streets project.

“The proposals are for changes to parking restrictions on George Square, George Street and Commercial Street.

"These include changes for waiting and loading, pay and display, blue badge parking, taxi ranks and bus stops.”

The proposed order includes the removal of the existing pay and display parking bays, replaced by proposed loading only and parking for disabled badge holders.

It also includes slightly shortening the existing bus stop and a proposed no stopping zone.

The plans can be seen and commented on at new.calderdale.gov.uk.
