Two new teams to compete in Halifax Cricket League next season
The ENCO Halifax Cricket League will welcome two new clubs next season as Haworth and Muff Field have been accepted, following a vote of all member clubs undertaken this month.
Haworth join from the Craven League, with Muff Field switching from the Dales Council League.
Both clubs will enter sides in the Second Division of both the first and second team competitions.
Their inclusion takes the number of teams in the league to 35, which will now be split into three divisions of 12, 12 and 11.
The league has opted to put a cap of 36 teams on numbers which leaves one vacancy that it is hoped will be filled for the 2028 season.
Any club wishing to enquire about joining the league should contact the league secretary by emailing [email protected].
